Favorite Hair Dye?

What is your favorite over the counter hair color brand?

Which has worked best for you?

I've always liked Loreal but wondered if there was a brand that works as well for a better price.

Favorite Hair Dye?

I have tried every hair dye there is, and the one that works best for me is Herbal Essences- I use the bleach blonde. It comes with a really good deep conditioner and it makes my hair feel healthy even though I am dying it! Good luck :)

Favorite Hair Dye?

clairol.....oldest and best known reliable company....

Loreal natural match haircolor????

has anyone used it and do you like it? how much did it damage your hair? im thiking of going a shade darker so i want to know if this brand works

Loreal natural match haircolor????

i bought it used it its good it comes with a conditioner to use 1x a week for 6 weeks, but do use the shampoo for coloring hair after as it runs (bleeds the color) if u dont like badly

Dying Hair?

I am dying my hair today. I need some advice, my hair is like a dirty blonde, and i have died my hair 2 times now, the first using belle color, and it was chesnut brown, but it washed out in about 4 days. the next i used loreal excellene creame, and the color was light ash brown, it lasted a little longer, but i did that around may 19th, and by the middle of june or earlier the color was gone again. im wondering what kind of hair dye kit i should get this time, and what color so it stays in good. Im looking for a darker look, not too dark, but a brownish color. Advise anyone?

Dying Hair?

make sure to get a permanent haircolor. You may be purchasing semi-permanent which only last about 12 -20 shampoos.

Dying Hair?

u shud get it permantly died so then u wudnt have to worry about it washin out if you get wat i mean and you should have black and then red tints always looks good!

Dying Hair?

DONT

Dying Hair?

dont dye it soo much u can lose hair ,if u want it to stay get permanent

Dying Hair?

If it keeps washing out your are probably using temporary color or semi permanent. If you want it to change permanently you need to use permanent color like Nice and Easy or Clairol Hydrience. I color my hair to cover gray so I always use permanent color. When I was younger and had just a little gray I used Natural Instincts - it's semi permanent. It would last about a month. Temporary and semi permanent color will only darken your hair. You can't use it to make your hair lighter.

Go to: http://www.clairol.com. You may find some answers there.

Good luck!

Dying Hair?

It sounds to me like you are getting hair dyes that are either not permanent or are semi-permanent. If you want it to last longer try a long lasting color. Make sure it says that it is permanent on the box. Also try some shampoo for color treated hair. There are some shampoos that help your hair color last longer. Try Color Conserve from Aveda.

Dying Hair?

does not sound like to me that you are leaving the product on you hair long enough and remember if your hair is longer you need to use two boxes of the product ....most times when you use a prem dye you can not wash it out neverrrrrrrr its impossible...good luck try two boxes if you have longer hair and it should honestly stay

Curly to wavy hair?

MY hair is naturally curly and i just blowdry my bangs and let the rest air dry after i apply loreal springing curls mousse. What do people do out there with curly hair? What products do they use?

What's your routine after showering?

Curly to wavy hair?

I think you should go natural because you look swell whanna chat?

Curly to wavy hair?

hi

Curly to wavy hair?

When I wear my hair wavy, I wash it the night before and air dry it before I go to sleep. But I make sure not to apply too much conditioner so they aren't dull, and after the shower I apply those products that make 'surf hair'. Like the ones in the spritz bottles... John Frieda is what I use. Then it air dries, I go to sleep, wake up, and voila: my hair looks natural and I have the perfect bed-head hair.

Curly to wavy hair?

Got 2b is a great product to straighten. unfortunately, I live in Florida and my hair is fried. I put mine in a bun or pony tail. It's so frizzy, I'm thinking about having it straightened.

Curly to wavy hair?

I use Zero Frizz products for my hair and blow dry my top and let the rest air dry. These products work really well.

Curly to wavy hair?

i put mousse i my hair while its still wet then follow the mousse with hair spray and dry it with a diffuser so i have a huge head of curls. then i go to sleep on it and i wake up with nice waves without that crunchy look. then i straighten my bangs.

i found that almost all the biolage products work the best and smell the nicest.

Curly to wavy hair?

first of all, can I hate you?? (ONLY JOKING!) I have had stick straight hair and the the only way to get curls cost me hundreds of dollars! I always used a good conditioner, then towel dried my hair and put infusium 23 in it - really keeps curls fresh and bouncy! I would sometimes use the Loreal Pumpin Curls too - that stuff was GREAT

Curly to wavy hair?

dont do anything unhealthy its bad for ur hair duh

Curly to wavy hair?

My hair is naturally wavy, and if I don't straighten it, I just add smoothing milk after showering and let it dry on its own.

Curly to wavy hair?

you should comb hair after you get out of the shower then put in Graham Webb Curl Gel and wrap in a towel for awhile and then after it's damp put two pumps of Kenra Shine Gloss

Curly to wavy hair?

I love your curls

I dry and let nature take its course

It is a Great day to be alive!!

Good luck and God Bless!!

What type of dye should I buy?

i have realli dark brown hair...like almost black...and i want to make it a lighter brown. Not realli light just enough so that it is not black and its brown.

what type should i buy?....i was thinking the loreal one looks like a good type.

no. i dont want to go to the salon to get it done. i kno wen you do you get better results but im onli talking about buying dye right now.

What type of dye should I buy?

if you already have color in your hair, then only your new roots will be the new color that you buy.....you would have to strip the color out, and that is only done by a professional.....if your hair is natural then go to sally beauty supply and match your hair color to the samples they have there and find the number that goes with it, then pick the number you want and do it. use at least a 20 volume peroxide. good luck.

What type of dye should I buy?

You're going to need one that says 'high-lift' - a regular box dye won't lift (lighten) your hair enough. I think Garnier 100% Colour has some of these, as does L'Oreal Preference. It'll have a little picture of dark 'before' hair somewhere near the top.

Question about hair conditioning?

Natural oils like coconut, olive, they too act as conditioners, right?

So if I give my hair a sort of hot oil treatment using them twice a week (each time before I wash them), and shampoo them afterwards (I use Dove if that matters), do I still need to use a conditioner afterwards?

I mean, should I or should I stop using it? Do I really need to?

The oil thing is really improving my hair texture.

currently I'm using loreal's elvive conditioner, and I'm not quite sure about how good it is. I feel it does nothing "much" to my hair, as compared to oiling before headwash.

Question about hair conditioning?

Yes, any type of kitchen cooking oil works really well with your hair.

What I do is I apply warm olive oil on my dry hair and then I wash it out (only my roots).

It works great for me!

Best at home hair color?!?!?

Which is the best hair coloring brand?

Going from dark to light, and wont turn my hair orange-

Cairol Nice 'N Easy

Clairol Natural Instinicts

Herbal Essence

Garnire Nutrisse

Loreal (specific kind?)

or any other suggestions?

Thanks! =)

Best at home hair color?!?!?

You need to bleach first.

I would reccomend going to a beauty supply store, and getting advice.

But after that, use garnier!

It's very gentle, but effective.

And the after-care conditioner works really well!

Best at home hair color?!?!?

Loreal...

I use it all the time..

Best at home hair color?!?!?

i like revlon. %26amp;%26amp; everyone always compliments my hair.

Best at home hair color?!?!?

Herbal Essences are really great, I used it for years. Although I would recommend going to a salon if you want it to be perfect. It might seem expensive but it's totally worth it!

Best at home hair color?!?!?

Preference by Loreal.

DO NOT USE FERIA BY ANY MEANS!!!

My hair faded.?

I dyed my hair last tuesday.

(december 18)

The name of the color was Feria light intense golden brown the number was 6.30?

Anyway, i'll never dye my hair with anything golden in the name because it just turns out brassy for a few dayss... but, it's faded into a dirty blonde, which it looks good and all, and i like the color but I was looking more for a darker chocolate-ish brownn.

So, my two questions are..

1)does anyone know a good loreal feria color (it's the kind of devoloper i have) thats a not too dark i have medium toned skin, that looks sorta sunkissed all year round.

and

2) how long should i wait to dye it?

I usually had it dyed every three months, but thats just how it grew in, i'm traveling in may, so i want to do my hair right before then. so if i do have to wait 3-4 months then i'm not going to re-dye it until thenn.

but if i can do it within a month or too, i'de want to redye it soon.

My hair faded.?

If you're dying it darker then you don't have to wait to dye it again. My hairstylist messed my hairdye up twice in one week and then I dyed it again within a few days (each time I went darker) and it didn't hurt my hair at all.

As for Feria... I've never been a fan of that haircolor. Everyone I know that has used it has had problems getting the color they want. I use Loreal Preference and have never had a problem.

Whenever I dye my hair with a home kit, I do it a shade darker than what I really want, because I know it's going to fade after a few washes (Like I just dyed my hair a couple days ago... I wanted dark ash blonde so I bought a light ash brown kit). So if you want light intense golden brown, then probably the medium intense golden brown will fade to the color you want.

Curling gel?

My hair is naturally straight. Is there any kind of gel or mousse that i can apply on my hair so that my hair can be curly without the curling iron ??? It takes too long to do the iron cuz my hair is long.

My friends told me to use the Loreal mousse, and just rub it kind of up and down to make waves. But it doesn't work for me. When she applys it on, her hair looks really naturally curly and have a shiny wet looking ??? What can i do ????

Curling gel?

ok...there is this stuff called CURLS UP...its in a cute pink bottle...available at wal mart...and also...theres something called curling shampoo...but i have never used that...the curling gel (curls up) works for me...i hope u get rid of all ur hair troubles!! merry christmas!

Curling gel?

GET GARNIER FRUITIES OR PANTIENE PROV ITS WORKS GREAT I HAVE THE SAME HAIR!

Does Loreal Color Pulse do this?

I have light ash brown hair and i wanna know what i would look like wit black hair. I was thinking about using the Loreal Paris Color Pulse. My friend used it but she accidently got the purple and after she washed her hair a few times it turned pink. I was wandering if I put the black in my hair then washed it if it would turn gray! Will it turn gray after a few days? Does it come COMPLETLY out after 8-10 washes??? My mom keeps saying that it will not all be out after 8-10 washes.

My Qs:

Will it turn gray?

Does all of it come out after 8-10 washes?

Does Loreal Color Pulse do this?

if you have any hues of blonde or golend in your hair (meaning its light) it can stain your hair for months

i have bleach blonde hair and when i was doing a client acidently got some in my hair 4 mnths ago and it just came out (it was black so alot more intese)

if you do use it buy some clairifying shampoo and use that to help wash it out

Does Loreal Color Pulse do this?

your mom is right it doesn't come out in that amount of time

if i were you

i would test a small strand of your hair

and that's it.

just enough for you to decide if you like it or not.

sorry.

Is it ok to mix conditioners?

my hair is a little weak and very dry so i want to mix tresemme anti brekagae conditioner (its not moisturizing enough to use just that) and loreal natures therapy mega moisture conditioiner, but is it ok to mix conditioner? thanks!

Is it ok to mix conditioners?

i do it all of the time............

Is it ok to mix conditioners?

same here i do it all the time and nothing happens

Is it ok to mix conditioners?

It will be fine .

Is it ok to mix conditioners?

Absolutely! Then only thing you shouldn't mix is chemicals. If you find a combination of conditioners that work, then by all means, use them! Good luck!

Is it ok to mix conditioners?

yes, but there is a bigger chance of residue left in the hair.

Is it ok to mix conditioners?

Yes it is ok but maybe you should opt for a deep penetrating conditioner from your local salon this would help tremendously.

Is it ok to mix conditioners?

I really hope so cause i do it

Is it ok to mix conditioners?

When you use a protein conditioner you can follow it with a moisturizing conditioner. In that order. One that is used in that way is Aphogee protein re constructor followed by Aphogee moisture. The protein rebuilds and hardens your hair and then the moisture softens it.

Is it ok to mix conditioners?

sure no problem but its alot of gunk on ur hair at one time

Another Hair Color Question... TOO MUCH RED!?

Last night (3/7/08) I dyed my hair a "Dark Golden Brown" - it's a "warm" color by Loreal Cream. I should have just stayed with the Dark Brown - Natural... This shade shows TOO MUCH RED!!! YUCKY!

It's dark, which I don't mind but this red shine it has is disguisting. What can I do now? I like the brown, not this red shine it has to it.

Thank yoU!!!

And yes, I know I should have done it professionally, and I probably shouldn't have done it at all. I already know how stupid i am so you dont have to remind me!! lol

Another Hair Color Question... TOO MUCH RED!?

Black

Another Hair Color Question... TOO MUCH RED!?

yeah you probably should go to a professional and ask for advice.

Another Hair Color Question... TOO MUCH RED!?

Red is really hard to dye over, it tends to show through, I would suggest buying a hair color striper, loreal makes one, I used it a long time ago, or maybe before it comes out even worse, go to a salon and get it done. Other than that leave it alone, it can't look that bad! Good luck.

Bleaching hair?

my hair is naturally really thick and straight, and it's a dirty, strawberry, blonde color. it's is also really silky and strong.

anyway, I like dying it, although I only ever use 28ay dye, Loreal Colorspa Actif because my hair grows REALLY fast. I recently have been thinking about bleaching it when it get long again (it's shoulder length now) but I can't picture how it would look.

here are two pics

natural: http://img142.imageshack.us/img142/6362/...

died brown: http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/3543/lc...

y friend is bleaching her hair soon, so I plan on seeing how it goes with hers first, I just want ideas on ow others think it would look on me.

oh yeah, anyone with good photoshopping skills if you want to photoshop me with bleach blonde hair that would be awesome, I normally do it myself but I can't get the blonde to look not photoshopped for some reason :(

Bleaching hair?

Your gorgeous just the way you are.

Bleaching hair?

You do have great hair but I can totally relate to your need for change and hair fun. Try this site: http://www.thehairstyler.com/

You upload your photo to the site and literally try on different hair styles and colors. Personally, I am risk-shy so this site worked for me. Report It

Bleaching hair?

You're really pretty!!!!! If you want to bleach your hair I recommend you have it professionally done.....I have dirty blonde hair and I use clip in platinum blonde extensions from Sally's beauty supply.......because they blend nicley with my natural hair color.....me and my friend tried bleaching my hair once using color out of a box and it came out brassy and orange....plus it totally ruined my hair...wouldn't recommend it!

Bleaching hair?

I really think your hair looks better dark. But the way i dye my hair is dark in winter, and light in the summer. Lemon juice is a real natural way to lighten your hair in the summer. Less damage, and the look is more natural. :) good luck on your decision.

Bleaching hair?

honestly, if you want to bleach your hair, do it!

I have naturally quite light hair and I just spent this afternoon bleaching my hair by myself, using a manic panic flash lightening kit (30 vol) and I am happy with the results, nothing went wrong and my hair isn't even damaged (even though I dyed it regularly).

before bleaching your hair I recommend you do a lot of research.

If you decide to bleach your hair I strongly recommend you get a toner, ( I used manic panic virgin snow and left it in for almost an hour) A toner will take out all those gross brassy yellow tones you don't want.

I would also follow up with a shampoo that works like toner, (I use Loreal professional in 'silver')

before dying your hair you should try and repair it so that it is in the best possible condition. (I use Loreal professional absolut repair mask)

Anyway best of luck for what ever decision you make!

Bleaching hair?

I have been bleached blonde. Bad news! full of dark roots/split ends and expensive upkeep. You suit it dark for some reaon. Great for depth and shine and really brings out your nice eyes! Bleached hair will never stay long,, always snaps, and you may have to cut or crop your nice locks? Take my advice, keep your dark hair, use shaders and toners to keep depth and shine in between colour.enjoy different shades of brown and your natural hair colour. Toss your hair around, and let your friend stay with her dry, fluffy, short and broken peroxide blonde mess

Dyed my light brown hair dark red/cherry, can i get it brown again?

my hair is naturally light brown.i used the loreal experte kit to dye my hair cherry.it has now started fading with a tinge of orange.can i get it brown?i keep being turned away from my hairdresser as he says it will go black.i am desperate to get away from this orange colour!help!

rachael

Dyed my light brown hair dark red/cherry, can i get it brown again?

You can just wait for it to grow out, which should take about a month.

Or try baby shampoo. baby shampoo will strip our hair of all dirt, environmental pollutions, hair products and possibly the dye as well. It will also make your hair really shining But be careful, baby shampoo can have a tendency to dry the hair out so be sure to use a moisterizing conditioner afterwards.

Or you can also try to redye our hair a shade darker than your natural hair color (make sure the dye doesn't have any red tones in it). This is what I did when I grew tired of the honey brown I had dyed my medium dark brown hair and it work, but I'm not sure if it will work to cover up the orangy-red color your hair has turned.

Good Luck!!!

Dyed my light brown hair dark red/cherry, can i get it brown again?

yeah, wait until the dye wears off. Believe it or not, but dye wears out after a month or so.

Dyed my light brown hair dark red/cherry, can i get it brown again?

You can dye it a dark brown. After a few washes it will fade a little. Make sure to condition it, it may burn out if you dye it too many times.

Dyed my light brown hair dark red/cherry, can i get it brown again?

hair dyes with alot of red tones do tend to fade relatively quickly. just wait it out. use a shampoo that contains tar-extract in the mean time, such as neutrogena t/gel as this is known to fade hair dyes.

if you're still not happy with the color in a couple of months, try beaching some highlights and then you can dye over them with light brown, which will break up the darknee of the hair. you can continue doing this bits at a time until your hair looks light enough.

if you want to get it over and done with straight away (with added side effects of your hair WILL be exceptionally dry) go get all of your hair bleached, IT WILL GO ORANGE, but dye over it with a nice light brown and you should be good to go.

i have no idea why your hairdesser is refusing to do your hair? it definately shouldnt go black. how very strange.

Dyed my light brown hair dark red/cherry, can i get it brown again?

Wait until the color fades as much as it can. Try using clear shampoos. They'll strip your color fast %26amp; keep your hair relatively healthy.

Speaking from experience, you can pretty much do anything to your hair and get it back to normal. My hair has been every color under the sun and I can always get it to be the color I want.

Once you have the color you want in your hair, try using Pureology shampoos %26amp; conditioners. It doesn't smell the greatest but it's pretty much guaranteed to keep the color in your hair. And it makes it soft and lovely!

Dyed my light brown hair dark red/cherry, can i get it brown again?

i reccomend instead of dying it brown keep the read just use some hair glaze to keep it red or use some brown hair glaze to get it brownish

Hair straghteneing?

i straighten my hair alot, but it is still healthy-- no worries. i just got a product from loreal though for straightening, but the dirctions are confusing. it says it goes on after wet or something, but what is the point of the product? i think thats what im asking...and what does it do for your hair that they even made it? thanks!! %26gt;%26gt;does it keep your hair straighter, longer?

Hair straghteneing?

They don't do anything except protect your hair from the heat. I've got the loreal one as well. It does not make any difference visually but in time it will just protect my hair for as long as I straighten my hair. I think you should use so it doesn't damage your hair in a few years time.

Hair straghteneing?

Surely it will keep your hair straighter but it will keep straight only for three months. Its duration can also be increased by controlling the hairs in beauty manner.Say as keep the hairs open (dont ware any hat), its sufficient to take bath for twice a week rather than daily. Not to be in hot sun for long duration, not to comb your hair repeatedly.

When you follow these things then your hair will be straight and also it will be strong and long.

Hair straghteneing?

If you want a straight long hair you have to rely on the product you are using and need not to worry. A natural hair is beyond compare to a hair done artificially.

Hair straghteneing?

hmmm haven't tried that i might put it on my things to experience list

Can you tell me any product for shiny and frizz-free hair which i can get in India?Home remedies welcomed.?

Hi, to me, the simplest way for Shinny and Frizz-Free hairs which i am currently using too, is to use Shampoos like Head Shoulders (either regular Blue or Pink with Zinc) + Herbal Essences (for Dry Damaged Hair) regularly.

On the other side, Home remedy is that u use Yougart mixed with Egg and Hair Oil, and apply it to ur Hair Pores, and as it dries, then wash ur hairs.

I hope this will let u get Shinny and Healthy Hairs

I need help i have dyed brown hair and i want to go blonde what can i do?

i dyed my hair blonde and it went wrong so then i dyed it with loreal which lasts 28 washes i think but it wont wash out its faided tho but i want to go blonde like light as blonde platinum blonde can a hair dresser do it in the 1 day i go or would i have to go back? and would it be easyier if i did it myself with a home kit to make it lighter for hair dressers or just use a home kit i need it done quick because i want it for holiday in a few weeks plz help me

I need help i have dyed brown hair and i want to go blonde what can i do?

my color is quite white blonde, and i use nice/n/easy number ninety eight.it transforms pretty easily after you buy a couple of them to start with use one first week then use the next one the second week, you should see a result. although it does take a while to get it as white as mine.

I need help i have dyed brown hair and i want to go blonde what can i do?

I know it's going to be more expensive, but it's really worth going to a hairdressers to get some advice. They may recommend that you have it done professionally. I had a friend who did this at home to save money and ended up damaging her hair so badly it had to be cut really short!

If money is a problem, ask the salon if you can it done by a trainee - it takes longer, but it's really really cheap. You always get good treatment too, as their worked is supervised by a senior hairdresser.

I need help i have dyed brown hair and i want to go blonde what can i do?

Hairdresser is the only option they will strip your hair and redo it. all in one day!

I need help i have dyed brown hair and i want to go blonde what can i do?

k, first, don't use the grocery store stuff. I like to buy cheap things but when it comes to hair dye you gotta have the best. trust me I have lost my hair over this. I would go buy a bleach kit at sally's they really aren't that expensive. I would bleach the dark out. but if you just recently did it, i would wait a bit like at least a month, you don't want to lose your hair. try to go to sallys and talk to the sales girls there, they can usually help. good luck:) and by the way that loreal WILL fade

I need help i have dyed brown hair and i want to go blonde what can i do?

If you go to a hairdresser they should be able to do it in one day. Would it be easier to do it yourself? Unless easier = cheaper than no, go have someone do it for you, you don't have to worry about it getting messed up.

I need help i have dyed brown hair and i want to go blonde what can i do?

Dont try to lighten with a home kit! this could go horribly wrong. What a hair dresser could do is strip your hair back to original color then dye it blond. this can be done in one day but you may need to go back for a treatment a week later.

I need help i have dyed brown hair and i want to go blonde what can i do?

It doesn't matter if your hair is brown somehow maybe you could be famous

Hair ! best answer gets 10 points!?

okey i recently discoverd that beyonce ( the singer) always wears a wig, lace front wigs, so that means the whole hair is fake, and this whole time she's been paid millions by loreal advertising their shampoos, conditionar, and hair color,, i've been buying into it, and purchasing their products, i feel cheated, and i think they should fire her since she is a fake ! what do u guys think?

Hair ! best answer gets 10 points!?

yes!!! i hate that!

Hair ! best answer gets 10 points!?

lmao.

so shes bald?

Hair ! best answer gets 10 points!?

thats horrible, hate that!

Hair ! best answer gets 10 points!?

I didnt kno that, but I dont care. I use herbal essence everything.

Hair ! best answer gets 10 points!?

Oh man, are you serious? Thats kinda hard to believe.

Hair ! best answer gets 10 points!?

i think that is stupid and i do feel cheeted like she just whanted to make me mad!!

Hair ! best answer gets 10 points!?

its not her fault not every one is born with straight silky hair

you guys have no clue how bad black people have it just because of our hair

thats basically being racist

Hair ! best answer gets 10 points!?

reality check: everyone in hollywood is either wearing a wig or gets 5,000 dollar extensions every month. it's not just her, most of those hair color commercial celebs are wearing wigs in the ads. i mean, how do you think sarah jessica parker has brown hair in her garnier commercial, but blonde everywhere else.

Hair ! best answer gets 10 points!?

Don't believe everything you see on TV! So what if she is wearing a wig (if she is wearing one)? Do you believe that all people on magazine covers are perfect? They have a lot of make up and invention of century is photo shop!

You won't buy something just because Beyonce use it, you will buy things which are good for you, not Beyonce.

Help with hair coloring?

i have dark brown hair and i wanted to dye my bangs silver

so i applied loreal quick blue bleach and let it sit for 30 minutes.

it turned out to be a golden blonde, so i bleached it once more

and it turned a little lighter. a few days later i applied a 1:2 liquid and creme solution which was a silver white and let it sit for about an hour. it was still blonde. should i bleach it once more? can someone give me some advice, technique or a better product to get my desired affect?

Help with hair coloring?

Try lightening it one more time. Use an ash blonde to lighten it, this will help to take out all gold or redish tones. Although your hair may become dry or rough feeling, it is safe to lighten your hair more than once. What you eant to achieve is a light, almost white blonde. Try putting a plastic cap on your hair and zapping with a blow dryer. Heat increases the speed at which your hair lightens. BE CAREFUL! If at anytime your hair becomes "mushy" or "noodley" feeling when it is wet, it means tht your hair has been lifted too much and is beginning to damage your hair. Always use a salon quality moisturizing conditioner after highlighting to restore the ph balance and keep your locks healthy. Hope this helped you.

Help with hair coloring?

i dont know

Help with hair coloring?

I say be careful. My sister did something similar to this and her hair broke off. Bleaching is very harsh on your hair and every time you do it you're damaging it more and more. At this point I think it's better that you just go to a salon and see what they can do for you. Wait a minute don't use bleach to get a silver look. I have dark brown hair also and I dye it . when getting hair dye look on the package you want something that says for dark or brunette hair only. To get a silver look I would go to your salon and ask them what you need. They are really good with stuff like that. bleach will always give you a blonde look. black and white make silver so maybe try a frost. Look in the hair dye isle and make sure you read the back. I really hope this helps. Good luck to you.

Evening out red hair?

Ok, I dye my hair all the time. I used Loreal HiColor Red on my hair and it did do the trick. But not quite. It reddened my hair pretty good, but since my hair wasn't virgin or even my red is kind of bright up top and dark down bottom.

I'm hoping for an even bright red.

I was thinking about just using Manic Panic (or some other vegetable dye) to highlight it evenly. My hair is still dark enough to not go firetruck red on me.

So what does everyone think? Is there any other ways of going about this? All comments are appreciated.

Thanks guys!

Evening out red hair?

I would use another session with the Loreal HiColor, it sounds like it didnt get destubited right. doing it again should do it.

Should i color hair again?

i am asian and a high school sophomore. i've been dying my hair brown since 6th grade (so that's about 5 times) until half a year ago.

i dyed it jet black, but now it's wearing off... (and i used Loreal's permanent dye)

should i dye it again? i haven't dyed it in 1/2 year.

i always use loreal or garnier... i kno that all dyes are somewhat harmful... but any ideas?

thankx ^^

Should i color hair again?

yes u can do it again. but dont use jet black. use medium brown which will look natural

Should i color hair again?

Hairsalons have the lest damaging hair dye. Get it from a beauty supply store but if u are gonna do drugstore hairdye the least damaging is loreal feria. I dye my hair black every 3 months to keep the color vibrant. U can try a color glaze that will boost your color now and make hair shinier and is less abrasive than dying your hair

Should i color hair again?

Go natural!

I love brunettes!

Should i color hair again?

i think you can dye ur hair again because my sister has been dying her hair porbably 2 times every year and nothings happened to her. just don't use bleach coz dats the most harmful and plus most azn ppl with bleached hair look bad anyway. hope u make the right descision!good luck

Should i color hair again?

Give it a break, or look into semi-permanent color to ease the transition while the color grows out.

Should i color hair again?

GO TO THE HAIR DRESSERS AND ASK THEM BUT I DO THINK YOU COULD AS THE PROFESSIONALS FIRST

Should i color hair again?

Truly your best bet is to seek advice from a professional. It is impossible for anyone to give good advice without seeing your hair, feeling it and evaluating it's health and condition. A professional can do this and will often offer a complimentary consultation. Additionally, a professional cosmetologist is educated and licensed to perform such tasks where you are not. You are safest to seek a pro's advice... in person.

Please, for the health of your young, lovely hair... see a licensed stylist in your area!

Should i color hair again?

yea dye it again, this time black with red highlights.Red looks really nice with black hair.

Should i color hair again?

Yes all box dyes are kinda damaging, but asian hair is pretty coarse and can take a lot more damage than most other hair types. If you want to do black or dark brown go for it. Anything lighter and you'll want to go to a proffessional.

Should i color hair again?

well, you can color your hair but once a year or longer.'Coz it's really harmful to your health. The one who often color hair is more likely to suffer blood-cancer.i'm not scare you,it 's just truth!

Should i color hair again?

well its a known fact that hair dyes do cause some damage to the hair especially if done often. i would leave dyeing of the hair come the time when your hair has strands of white. coz then you'll surely be doing it all the time. however if you still want to dye your hair, then treat it with hair spa's once a week.

Should i color hair again?

yes u should

Should i color hair again?

its safe to dye it but it depends what u like and all but dye it black or a chocolate brown

Should i color hair again?

Go to a salon, dying it your self with store brand will damage your hair. Let them dye it to your original color and add natural lights. You'll look great!

Should i color hair again?

Boxed hair dye you get in a drug store have no idea what hair type you are starting out with. You need to condition your hair and at least go to a hairdresser and ASK THERE PROFESSIONAL OPINION! A hairdresser will usually at least tell you there honest opinion if it is a good idea or not depending on the condition of your hair.

Should i color hair again?

Up to now, some research has indicated that using hair dye may lead to increased risk of bladder cancer, while other research has suggested it doesn閳ユ獩. Some of the research has considered different types of dyes and others haven't. Some studies have probably been too small to show up any small increase in risk. In the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) May 2005, there was a large meta analysis published that looked into all the research on hair dyes causing cancer. A meta analysis is research that pulls together all previous study results. This has found that there is unlikely to be any link between hair dye use and bladder cancer.

A study published in the American Journal of Epidemiology in 2004, focusing only on non Hodgkin's lymphoma, suggests that long term use of dark hair dye may slightly increase your risk of developing non Hodgkin閳ユ獨 lymphoma. But the researchers say these findings don閳ユ獩 prove that colouring your hair causes cancer. The study points out that there could be an increase in risk for people who used hair dyes before 1980. A lot of hair dyes made before 1980 contained chemicals that were known to cause cancer in mice. Since 1980, hair dyes have changed dramatically and many no longer contain these cancer causing chemicals (carcinogens).

Should i color hair again?

Yes but use semi permanent haircolour.

It does no damage to the hair, and conditions it, yet still has the same effect as a permanent haircolour.

Loreal colour rays??

i have really dark black natural hair and i want to dye my whole hair burgundy. im thinking of using loreal colour rays and im having hard decision between red rays or Fuschia Flash. if i use red rays, will the red be really light? i dont want it that light. and if i use fuschia flash, would the purple be really purple or kinda redish? please help me!

Loreal colour rays??

You should call the # on the box, they are usually hair stylists and will be able to tell you what it will look like! Good luck!

Is it okay to dye it again?

on Friday, I used the loreal color pulse mousse in a colour that barely had an effect on my hair so i bought a new lighter that will for sure have an impact, but is it okay to use it again so soon?( today's sunday)

Is it okay to dye it again?

its fine if you dont have heavily damaged hair.

i've stripped my hair and dyed it twice in the SAME DAY, which i know is a HUGE NO NO, but i had no problems.

=]

Is it okay to dye it again?

It is okay but it is going to dry your hair out, possibly severley. Suggest conditioning it well for the next couple of weeks, then if you must, try it again.

Is it okay to dye it again?

it's okay, best of luck. have fun ! %26amp; good luck.

Are there any home made remedies that make curly hair look wet?

besides using sebastian's WET an garneir fruitus and loreal and any other products, home made remedies...

Question 2.

How do I get my hair to look curly like beyonce's on her album

Are there any home made remedies that make curly hair look wet?

most of the things they mentioned are not home made...and those ones that are ....will make ur hair stink...and of course if ur curly hair is that kind that does whatever it wants(like mine)baby oil won't work.

I personally use mousse...and everybody is always telling me how pretty my hair is...but if you want a home made remedie here is one:

it's called LINAZA in spanish(it looks like bird food. I have now clue what is called in English..but you could go to a Mexican grocery store..and find it there. Just put it in water let it boil...when it cools down it'll be kinda sticky...kinda like gel!!! it works wonders...I don't use it myself...cuz I don't have time!! but try it! if you decided to use mousse go for the HERBAL ESSENCES OR 3 in 1 they will make ur hair look beautiful! My hair is GEORGEOUS(with mousse!).

Are there any home made remedies that make curly hair look wet?

Try a shine spray over the top when it's dry. It has no feeling on your hair it jsut makes it shine Report It

Are there any home made remedies that make curly hair look wet?

h- -2- -o-

Are there any home made remedies that make curly hair look wet?

i know one, that is the one that i normaly use you need natural linseed, you put this on a hole and put a little bit of water you let it cook for around 30 min. then you strain soo the seeds and the water gets separeted. you leave the water in some recipient so it gets cold for around an hour and then youll see that it gets an aspect like gel, you put this gel on your hair when its wet and you will have it like you want it. hope it works.

Are there any home made remedies that make curly hair look wet?

You can either use shine spary or just use moose and put it in like you are scrunching your hair!!!

Are there any home made remedies that make curly hair look wet?

Go to a local Wallgreens and go to the african-american hair care section. Get coconut oil and put that in your hair. it makes it greasy, but not to, and it washes out easily. It genuenly looks wet, but is very light and doesen't make your hair look slicked-back at all!

PS It will not damadge your hair.

I want siler/white hair how do I go about this?

ok, so I got some blonde stuff... it's now a dark reddish blonde. Not really strawberry, but close enough. I want to take ALOT more out, and was wondering what kind of toners or what kind of product to use. I don't have the time to go to a hair salon, so I'd rather just do it myself. My mom went to beutition school so she's always a help, but keeps thinking that I want a normal blonde.

Also, If I was to add color into it AFTER I did this to my hair, how long should I waite? I have one of those loreal streaking things in fuschia, and I've used it before, and just love it, but I woulnd't want my hair to fall out, so how much time in between bleaching and colour should there be?

I want siler/white hair how do I go about this?

ok seriously!! ewww.... gross you wanna look like a Grandma!!! sorry but gotta tall the truth!!

I want siler/white hair how do I go about this?

you can double process your hair ,after you bleach it out, have the color you want and then add it.but bleach it out all the way,it will be easier for the color you put on it.

I want siler/white hair how do I go about this?

going that far into platinum will absolutely turn your hair into swiss cheese. Don't do it! Go more for lightest blonde, and then add a touch of ash/violet to cool it off and give you the chic platinum look. Otherwise, buy a wig. BTW, it's well worth your time and money to have it done professionally. It's far less likely to break off and fall out if you have it done by an experienced professional.

I want siler/white hair how do I go about this?

dont listen to her.. i think that is a cool idea.. my cousin did it to her hair and it looks sweet! anyways.. well im not sure exactly what product to use, but you want to give your hair at least 3-4 weeks until you color it... best of luck to you on your new style!

I want siler/white hair how do I go about this?

You need to seek professional help for this if you

a) use words pertaining to color as "some blonde stuff"

b) use words like loreal "streaking things"

Both are a REALLY bad sign that you have no idea what you're doing whether your mom went to "beutition" school or not.

If your mom can't help you with this, you need to go to a professional for help.

Or your hair just might fall out! YIKES!!

I want siler/white hair how do I go about this?

OK,let me start by saying you REALLY should go to a professional for this.

But if you insist on not going, you're going to have to bleach the heck out of it,which may damage alot of it,depending on your previous condition.Once you bleach it up to pale yellow, you will need a toner. It sounds like you want one with a blue/violet base. You should be able to find all of the materials at a beauty supply store.

Also invest in a very deep hair masque-which is a deep conditioner-you will live on this stuff!!

HELP! A fast way to fade black hair dye?

Last saturday i dyed my hair natural black by loreal feria. The first time i dyed it it looked like a wig..So for the past few days ive been leaving dawn dishsoap in my hair for an hour (wrapped in plastic wrap) and i got some streaks of my natural brown hair color..Looks great..I justwanna know a faster way to fade my whole head...I do not want anything costly or damaging. i do not want to bleach my hair..any other solutions?I tried lemon spray also...

HELP! A fast way to fade black hair dye?

Okay first, stop the dawn dishsoap, it is just going to dry out your hair, which has already been damaged by the dye. Stop worrying because you can just buy a product callled a "colour remover", loreal makes one i think, and they also do this at salons. Feria is a permenant dye, so it isnt going to fade much. DO not use bleach or sun in or anything, just go with the corlour remover, (google this for more information) and if you are really unhappy with it, just suck it up and go to the salon, or you can call a salon and just ask for advice, most are very nice about that. Good luck!

HELP! A fast way to fade black hair dye?

what i do is just leave in a shampoo/ conditioner mix, for a few hours, i leave my conditoner in over night, it really fades my color fast, you dont want to use the soap and make your hair dry and britlle Report It

HELP! A fast way to fade black hair dye?

Your best and fastest/healthiest option is a color corrector. I use one from Sally's called SalonCare Color Corrector. It's 12.99, and it will take out even old black dye.

Feria is notoriously difficult to remove, but even still you should have some luck.

HELP! A fast way to fade black hair dye?

PRELL SHAMPOO it's a great shampoo for natural hair but really strips color out of dyed hair..good luck...and don't try to change anything about you...you are beautiful just the way you are.

HELP! A fast way to fade black hair dye?

Just keep on with what you are doing....black usually fades quicker than other colors....be careful with the lemon spray it acts as a bleach if you are out in sunlight/tanning bed....and will turn it a brassy/orange color. But good job on not wanting to bleach or strip it....It will just take some time...but also get a strong shampoo that is not for colored hair ...like head and sholders...

HELP! A fast way to fade black hair dye?

Stop doing that its horrible, just leave it as it is it will fade keep washing styling it and staying in the sun.

DO NOT USING SUN IN OR LEMON, IT WILL MAKE YOUR HAIR ORANGE!!!

Where will I find a good hair dye colour remover?

I dyed my hair jet black, now im bored of it. I want my natural hair colour back, I've heard of Colour Zap, Affinage Eraser Hair Colour Remover and Loreal Effasol but can't find them in the UK/Scotland anywhere? I want my hair back to natural by Friday because I have a party and you can see my roots badly and I don't want to dye it black again. Can anyone tell me where I can find one of those or maybe something like it? or anything that I can use at home that actually WORKS? Please help :(

Where will I find a good hair dye colour remover?

Pink silly string.

Where will I find a good hair dye colour remover?

Use dish detergent..it works.

Where will I find a good hair dye colour remover?

ask your hair dresser or find a colour that is compatible so it will take properly

Where will I find a good hair dye colour remover?

I don;t know if you could do it yourself, but you can have a salon give you a color strip. it takes about 45min to an 1hr depending on your hair length

Where will I find a good hair dye colour remover?

sounds silly but the old way was cigarette ashes

Where will I find a good hair dye colour remover?

try "bleach" or maybe some orange juice

Where will I find a good hair dye colour remover?

I would be careful what you put on your head, cause of many reasons, one being obvious- you can make yourself MANY different colors. I would go see a colorist and pay to have it done professionally. Then I would stay outta the temp color! Good luck

Hair Color Removal?

I dyed my hair dark brown about a month and a half ago and I'd like to go back to something closer to my natural light brown. Has anyone tried to remove haircolor at home before? Are there any products that are better than others? I read up on Loreal Effersol Haircolor Remover and if anyone has had any experiences with that, please share them because right now that's looking like a decent option. Last, I think I should mention that a salon is not really an option for me because I'm on a budget. If anyone can help me, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Hair Color Removal?

While I have not personally used Effersol, I have heard and read about people who have. It is VERY harsh on your hair. I think it also removes more than simply the dye but also strips some (if not most), of your natural color as well. This would mean that you would need to color it AGAIN with a shade that resembles your natural hair color. Dying it twice AND using Effersol all in such a short time, may do serious damage to your hair. I actually read about someone who resorting to shaving all their hair off and simply starting 'from scratch' , so to speak, in order to deal with the damage the dyes and color strippers had done. Perhaps you could simply talk with a hair professional and get some suggestions , or wash your hair often with very astringent shampoos (and condition it A LOT), in order to help the color to fade quicker. Good luck. Oh, and I should add that this is what I did when I was stuck with a hair color I didn't like. Eventually it faded enough that I could dye it with a temporary shade similar to my own color (safer for the hair), until it all grew out and could be natural again. Of course it wasn't as light as my natural color until the dyed part all grew out, but it wasn't as dark as the oringinal dyed color either.

How to make my curly hair look good?

okay sooo.. i straighten my hair every day. and then i got in trouble %26amp; my mom took away my flat iron (yes i know, stupid but it worked!) and now i have to leave my hair curly. i have loreal studio crunching gel and my hair is blonde and right at my shoulders. usually when i use it, it doesnt look to good. any tips on how i can make my curly hair look wavy with the scrunching stuff for school this week?

thanks soo much !

How to make my curly hair look good?

leave in conditioners moouse and serums. try frizzease.

How to make my curly hair look good?

okay thats stupid of ur mom to do that, its ur hair. i got a perm almost 2 yrs ago and its almost out.. i hate it. i will never get another perm again.

How to make my curly hair look good?

Put your hair straightener in it and it will relax the curls and let it air dry. Wah lah beautiful curly hair.

How to make my curly hair look good?

I wouldnt scrunch it if i where you, just put some sort of conditinor in you hair, to make it untangley %26amp; less poofy.

Then maybe spray some hairspry over it, to make it stay in place..

The hairspary may just make it worse, depending on what you hair is like.

Help highlights for dark brown hair came out orangy blonde!!!?

I have dark brown hair. I purchased the Loreal Feria caramel blonde highlights for medium to dark brown hair. After 15 of the 30 minutes I was supposed to have it on, I caught a glimpse in the mirror. Horror! The highlights were blonde!! They were supposed to be caramel. Not only are they blonde, they are orangy.....and if I didn't get close enough to my scalp, which happened in several chuncks, my hair goes from dark brown to orange blonde. Not an attractive look. Can someone help me with this disaster. I would be happy to go back to my brown hair. Thanks all!!!

Help highlights for dark brown hair came out orangy blonde!!!?

If you want to keep the hi-lights just not so light. Buy a light brown or dark blonde color from the store and put it in your hair but leave it on for "only" 15 min. %26amp; wa-la you have toned you hi-lights. Happy coloring.

Help highlights for dark brown hair came out orangy blonde!!!?

go to the salon they will dye it brown then eventaully *** your hair grows back it will be your natural hair color

Help highlights for dark brown hair came out orangy blonde!!!?

The reason why you have to leave it on for 30 minutes is that bleach takes time to develop. It's taking pigment out of your hair, so that is why at 15 minutes it's orange. Usually I would not recommend highlighting your hair yourself, especially if it is a drastic change. If the fully developed color is not what you want, you might have to go to a salon to get corrective coloring done, which can be super expensive. You MIGHT be able to get away with buying a box color that is the same as your natural color and doing it at home, but depending on how "off" the highlights are, it might just do more damage than good.

Good luck!

Is it ok to use color remover on highlighted hair?

I have medium brown hair and I used loreal hilight styliste creamy caramel to acheive some highlights but it turned brassy. I then tried a tone refiner on it with no luck. It still looks orange and brassy. Can I use a hair color remover, like loreal colorzap, to remove the highlights and redye it to match my natural hair color? Please help!!

Is it ok to use color remover on highlighted hair?

Go back to your hairdresser and ask!

Is it ok to use color remover on highlighted hair?

Don't use a color remover, you'll only make it worse. Simply use a Demi color in your natural level (Darkness) and color over it. You may still see some of the underlying copper pigmentation but it shouldn't be too bad.

Is it ok to use color remover on highlighted hair?

NO NO NO!

Bleached hair is not colored hair. Coloring hair adds pigment

Bleaching the hair strips the pigment out. What ever color you have left from bleaching is your natural color minus pigment.

When using a remover it is for removing color and as stated above Bleached hair is hair that has been stripped of color.

If you put a color remover on your hair you will only further damage your hair

The best suggestion I can give is to tone the Bleached hair back to your natural hair color or to a color that has an ash base tone

The ash base tone will conteract the brassiness and cool it down to a natural highlite. Try a lever 09 ash or 10 ash for blonde highlites

or just get a color that is the same as your natural Color

OR go to a professional before your hair breaks off!

Did they stop making Loreal fresh vive?

I work at Walmart and they reset all the shampoo and I was sad to see it gone. It was the only thing that made my hair look like I had just got out of the shower and blowdried it all day. and was really good at keeping the greasies away. Does anyone know how to inquire about getting it back?

Did they stop making Loreal fresh vive?

I still see it in stores. You may just have to get somewhere else!

Help! I colored my hair now don't know how to fix it! Way too orange!?

My natural color is dark blonde with highlights but I wanted the color more universal thru out so I colored it. I used loreal couleur experte and a shade that said dark blonde (actually looked light a light brown). I had done patch test and it turned out o.k., so I then did my whole head. It is now a very orangish red color! How do I get dark blonde (or close to it) and lose the bright, brassy orange?

Also, how long do I need to wait before I recolor (as someone once told me that you need a certain amount of time in order not to do damage to your hair)?

(The website and box for the color does not say for either.)

Help! I colored my hair now don't know how to fix it! Way too orange!?

I would go see a professional hair stylist from a good reputation salon. Your hair is the first thing people see so spend a good amount of money on it. The hair stylist will fix it for you and probably add on a conditioning treatment to give some needed nutrients to your hair. I wouldn't color it again until someone that is a professional fixes it first.

Help! I colored my hair now don't know how to fix it! Way too orange!?

Go to cost cutters and get a malibu treatment which strips the color out of your hair it costs around $15. It works!!

Help! I colored my hair now don't know how to fix it! Way too orange!?

what happened was you didn't leave it on long enough to fully process! you can either get some kind of color to tone it down or cover it back with your natural to be on the safe side. if you aren't a cosmetologist i recommend you go to a salon, color correction is very serious and can really damage your hair if not done properly!! good luck

Help! I colored my hair now don't know how to fix it! Way too orange!?

It sounds like you may have not let the whole process happen, didn't leave it on long enough. You , at this point should go get a toner done in a salon. This can be done without using damaging chemicals. Semi-permanent will work in most cases. But with out seeing it, it's very hard to tell you what will work perfect. You need something with some ash in it, or go get the same color and put it on for a while longer just wait 24 hours before, if that doesn't work go get a toner done in a salon, call around get the prices before you head out. DO NOT do the ash base without a professional looking at it as this can ruin it worse.

Hair dyee :S please answer !?

I just dyed my hair a medium brown (loreal, french roast) and i noticed it made my roots orange literally. so i am going to use the rest of the hair dye to re dye the roots . is this ok ?

Hair dyee :S please answer !?

OMG,,, do yourself a favor and either get a plain brown hair dye OR just go to the hairdresser and get them to do it for you. I had such a bad experience last year with a similar hair color and ended up trying to do it myself ~ REALLy Bad IDEA!

Think about it ~ If it made your roots red the first time its not going to get better by dyeing it again it can only get worse (and darker) the next time... Trust me!

Hair dyee :S please answer !?

I don't know if I'd do that. If it turned your roots orange the first time, why would it work the second time? Maybe it'll make your roots even more orange. There should be a toll-free number in the directions or on the box you can call for questions and tips. I would call that number and ask them what they suggest before re-dyeing. You can really damage your hair with hair color if you aren't careful.

Hair dyee :S please answer !?

I would throw the rest of the color away and go to a beauty supply and get a color with a blue base to it to cancel the orange.

Hair dyee :S please answer !?

no you should use a regular brown, when you use other colors besides the basics it turns your hair orange,

dye it regukar brown and it will look good, no orange

Hair dye question?? Please help!?

My step daughter had blonde hair. Around Thanksgiving she decided she wanted dark brown hair. She used the stuff that is supposed to wash out in 28 days. Well, of course this turned it to a reddish brown color. All of this was done without my knowledge. We were supposed to get her senior pictured done that weekend but I told her that I was not having them taken, when it would not even look like her. Sooo, we decided to wait until it washes out, it hasnt. She tried a Loreal stripper and dye that was golden blonde over the weekend, now it is bleach blonde from the roots to about middle of her head and the rest is orange. What should we do? Would dyeing it again damage her hair?

Hair dye question?? Please help!?

Please, don't do any more dyeing at home! Obviously it isn't working. Strippers and home dyes can really damage the hair, as you have seen.

You should take her to a professional, reputable hair salon (don't go somewhere cheap or unprofessional - you'll be throwing your money away). Have them dye it a neutral colour - probably a mid that will neutralise and cover the orange. It is worth considering getting it cut shorter, too, so that it will grow out quicker.

She can pay you back for the cost by doing chores or a weekend job if need be.

Let this be a lesson to her not to play around with home dye kits again! Some things should be left to the professionals.

Hair dye question?? Please help!?

she needed to use a toner. That removes brassy tones.Go to the beauty supply store, like a Sallys, ask for help.

Hair dye question?? Please help!?

I would suggest going to a salon and getting a colour correction done (preferably by someone who is an expert)

It maybe costly but it could save you alot of grief

Hair dye question?? Please help!?

I think you need professional advice. You don't want to totally ruin her hair.

Hair dye question?? Please help!?

It might. i dont know wat kind of hair she has but if you dye it too much or it has a lot of chemicals put it in will turn white from over processing.

Hair dye question?? Please help!?

28 day wash out dyes are not really suitable for extreme colour change in hair. e.g blonde to brown or vice versa..,

you need to use a toner for the lightest blonde hair, sometimes it will say "ash blonde". the toner sould be blue or purple in colour and leaving this on should neutralise some of the yellow/orange tones... (don't leave it on to long or it will hve a blue-y tinge)

for the sake of the photo you could dye it a permanent deep brown all over or use a lightener on the ends to make it all one colour. Lighter blonde ones rather than golden blonde should lift some of the darker tones...You might need to go to a salon for advise if it is really bad after using the toner...

Hair dye question?? Please help!?

if it's longer than 4 weeks it won't damage alot she should use deep condition

I can't dye my hair?! HELP!?

This is my second time trying to dye my hair cause my first one didnt work. I'm asian, so of course I have natural black hair, and Im trying to dye it brown. I bought a product called "LOREAL PARIS SUPERIOR PREFERENCE" or something like that, and it said i just have to put it all over my hair for 30 minutes and rinse it off. Well I followed the instructionsas in, mix the Color gel with Color Optimizing Creme and etc. and now I have half a bottle left? I tried twice, but it seems that it just doesnt work. I had it on for 30 minutes, i would rinse it off with cold water, and my hairs still black. any suggestions?

I can't dye my hair?! HELP!?

maybe you have to bleach it first, 'cause its harder to go from dark to light...

I can't dye my hair?! HELP!?

maybe that brown dye can't be dying with black hair. you should mybe go have a dye more lightful like blonde.

I can't dye my hair?! HELP!?

you may not like this idea...but it is prohbably the only way to get the color you want since your hair is so dark...

Get a box of hair bleach, leave it in for 45-60 minutes (as it will take longer to strip your dark hair of its color)

next, rinse your hair out really well and use a deep conditioner to put some hydration back into it (dying hair makes it dry)

next, dye your hair brown...even if your hair doesnt turn platinum from bleaching it (it probably will be more yellow b/c of your black hair) it will take the brown color and be pretty much whatever the color is on the box that you pick out....

I can't dye my hair?! HELP!?

Since your hair is black, the brown does not have a high enough lift to change the color of your hair. Try a lighter shade of brown, or a dark shade of blonde. Try at least 3 to 4 shades lighter than your natural color.

I can't dye my hair?! HELP!?

Honestly, I would recommend getting it professionally done because box dying usually never turns out the way that you want it to. Usually on the back of the box, they give alternate instructions for people with different hair colors. Usually if your hair is dramatically darker than the color on the box, it'll show you a picture of what color you will actually get (it's usually different) or they'll tell you to keep the dye on longer? It's been a while since I've dyed my hair, so I'm not totally sure, just make sure that you read the instructions carefully, and try doing your research first (sites like drugstore, com, they have reviews from people who have used the product).

Interesting idea putting moose on your head - unless of course you mean mousse. :)

What is the best moose for my hair?

Try using a volumizing spray or mouse on damp hair.... brands dont really matter to be honest... make sure it says VOLUMZING...

Flip your head upside down and blow dry your hair on a medium setting. Massage your scalp with your fingers while drying your hair to give extra lift at the roots. If you have curly hair, scrunch the hair in your hands while aiming the nozzle at the section of hair you閳ユ獧e scrunching.lip your head right side up again while your hair is still slightly damp if you plan on wearing your hair straight, and finish drying using a large vent brush or round brush to continue styling your hair. Use your brush to lift the first one to two inches of your hair straight up away from your scalp and point the dryer閳ユ獨 nozzle under the section directed upwards for more hair volume at the roots of your hair. Leave the dryer there for a few seconds and then move on to the next section. Use the brush to smooth the shaft and ends of your hair and finish drying your hair completely. Finish scrunching the hair until it is only slightly damp if you are wearing your hair curly. Let your hair air dry the rest of the way to avoid your hair getting frizzy. Use a dime- to a quarter-sized dollop of hair pomade or styling wax to tame any frizzies and define the ends of the hair or any layers you may have. For a final burst of hair volume, flip your head upside down again and lightly mist your hair with a light-hold hair spray. Bring your head right side up again and use your fingers to fix any stray hairs.

You should try Curls Up Mousse by FX Special Effects. Its awesome and I think it will give you your desired result. Its inexpensive and works amazing! You'll love it!!!

What is the best moose for my hair?

I have hair that is as straight as a board and sticks to my head, soooo.. I'm forced to play the mousse and rollers game EVERYDAY. The mousse that works best for me is Paul Mitchell's Extra Body Sculpting Foam. It runs at right around $20.00.

What is the best moose for my hair?

You are better off going to an actual salon. I know there is one in JCpenny they sell a lot of nice hair care products. %26gt; http://www.jcpenney.net/stores/salon/jcp... Find the J.C. Penny in your area and find the salon # call and ask them. Tell them about your dilemma they are the professionals. Also since your hair is straight maybe don't blow dry it let it naturally dry and see what happens...

What is the best moose for my hair?

Bulwinkle! He's the best

What is the best moose for my hair?

bullwinkle. the trick is getting him to balance on your head.

Temp. Hair Dye?!?!=D?

Help me plz!!!

See Halloween is 2marrow and i would like my hair to be brown but i have red hair. I looked at the loreal mouse dye but it couldn't show me what it would look like on red hair. I would appreciate it if you could suggest something that washes out within a couple days. Thanks sooo much Happy Halloween!

=P =D

Temp. Hair Dye?!?!=D?

You could try anything from the local beauty supply store.

You're hair will probably retain it for a while since brown is a darker color.

Temp. Hair Dye?!?!=D?

its not 2marrow! it on wed.!! lol

Temp. Hair Dye?!?!=D?

Maybe you should just try the Loreal Mousse?

I put purple in my hair once, even though it didn't say my hair colour on the box and it still worked.

I have greasy, frizzy yet dry hair?

Hi, I have very greasy hair. If I wash it, it goes all frizzy and lacks shine, it's also very dry, then it gets greasy really quick. I have tried loads of different shampoos. What is a good product to use, and/or if you have experience using it , does Loreal Elvive 'SMOOTH-INTENSE' anti-frizz shampoo with Nutrileum work?

Thanks

From a very annoyed-with-hair person!

I have greasy, frizzy yet dry hair?

If you can afford it go to the hairdresser and get them to deep cleanse your hair and do maye an oil treatment and a hair cut to trim off any split ends.

Whatever dont over wash it.

Try a very mild shampoo followed by a detangling conditioner?

I have greasy, frizzy yet dry hair?

Wash more shampoo at the roots, less at the ends. Have you tried Loreal Pink Pearl collection? They are in hot pink containers.http://www.lorealparisusa.com/

Then thier is the SunSilk Collection.

Score some freebies from www.startsampling.com or www.walmart.com under the whats new in stores tab is free offerings. Just sample sizes.

I have greasy, frizzy yet dry hair?

try a "hot-oil"-treatment for the dryness of your hair and a anti-grease shampoo for the hair. your conditioner can be the anti-frizz product! try straightening your hair after you wash it to prevent the frizz look! i use the SUNSILK products in SA and do not know how effective the loreal elvive is! good luck!

for best results - ask a local hairdresser what tipe of affordable products you could use!

I have greasy, frizzy yet dry hair?

Only use conditioner on the ends of your hair. Spray a leave in conditioner on the ends of your hair, I'm sure it is the driest. Try a anti-frizz serum in your hair when its still wet. Talk to your hair stylists they can recommend some product. You may need to use a salon grade, instead of a dept. store brand.

It may sound silly put when you're hair starts to get greasy use a loose powder on your hands (baby powder, or makeup powder) and pat it all over your greasy areas, it really works!

I have greasy, frizzy yet dry hair?

None of Your Frizziness shampoo and conditioner by Herbal Essences works good for me and all my friends [we all use it!] I suggest not using a ton of the conditioner and making sure you rinse it out very well or it may add to your hair looking greasy.

I'm platinum & want red hair BUT ONLY for season.?

My hair is down to my butt. I refuse to go to a hair salon anymore for more reasons then one. I want plumb/red/brown hair. The last time I dyed my hair red, I used temporary dyes by Loreal. The color was beautiful! So I decided this was my color %26amp; I went permanant. I bought a permanent color by Herbal Essence that was exacltly the color I wanted but in tiny print "Not for blonds", but since my hair was a very dark, dishwater, dirty blond, I thought it would be ok. (I even called the co. to verify the consiquences but they didn't tell me my hair would end up Bozo the clown Orange! It took a year to get all the red out of my hair. One hair color specialists said not to use temp. dyes. I want to be able to go back to platinum this comming summer but I don't want to have to go through all that stripping to get the red out. Is there ANYONE out there that knows of a store bought (beauty suppy stores %26amp; on-line stores too) product that will be less trouble when it come time to rid the red?

I'm platinum %26amp; want red hair BUT ONLY for season.?

well if you want a temporary color that will wash out in around 10 shampoos use herbal esscences colorflirts. They are sold for around 10 bucks (CDN) I have hair down to the middle of my back and I had enough mousse i coulda used it for at least 2 applications.

I'm platinum %26amp; want red hair BUT ONLY for season.?

go to a hair salon. truuust me.

I'm platinum %26amp; want red hair BUT ONLY for season.?

I really don't know cuz I havn't had that problem with temp dyes

I'm platinum %26amp; want red hair BUT ONLY for season.?

I got my hair died red recently but a salonist. just go to a salon. it's way easier.

I'm platinum %26amp; want red hair BUT ONLY for season.?

so what your saying is, you dyed your hair red and it went horribly, horribly wrong, it took you a year to correct it, and now you want to do it again?????????? no matter how temporary a colour is, on platinum blonde hair there will always be a lot of colour that your hair has absorbed. i suggest you just leave it.

I'm platinum %26amp; want red hair BUT ONLY for season.?

loreal lesblondess there are only 2 shades light and lighter. I 've done the same thing and can't afford a salon either. OH you will need 2 bottles and it's permanant, but it works

I'm platinum %26amp; want red hair BUT ONLY for season.?

If going to a Salon is not an option then red is not an option for you. Red is one of the hardest colors to accomplish on hair, it is also one of the hardest to color over/repair so if you mess it up you are screwed! Save up some cash and go to the salon.

Hair Toners.?

My hair right now is an orangey blonde right now after two bleachings. i want a toner that will take out all the orange because i plan to dye it pink. i was wondering if there is any i can get at the drug store? any types made by loreal or clairol? thank you.

Hair Toners.?

You might need to go to Sally's Beauty Supply or somewhere similar. Get a toner with a blue tint to it to counter the orange. Good luck;)

Hair Toners.?

Get it done professionally honey before you're back on here wondering what you can buy for thinning hair

Hair DYE help !?!?!?!?

okay so i'm going to dye my hair dark brown by loreal natural match and i have natural dark brown hair but want it even darker. i want it almost brown black but my mom won't let me buy anything that says black! lol soo what do i do if i'm dying my hair dark brown and want it even darker? can i leave it in longer than i'm supposed to so it will darken up? i have dyed my hair alot so i will dye it correctly and maybe test strip it qwhen its time to take it off and then if its not as dark as i want it to be i can wash it out? what do you think of this, and what is your advice to me on how to get this dark brown. I AM NOT going to a salon. thanks! [=

Hair DYE help !?!?!?!?

Let it set in for 5-10 minutes longer than the package says, and dont wash your hair untill you absloutely have to. I would recommend not washing your hair untill you need to for school.

Make black hair dye fade of removed?

Last night i dyed my hair natural black by loreal feria permanant level 3. It didn't come out as i pictured it. My hair is naturally dark brown and my hair looks like a wig. i DO NOT want to go get it bleached or stripped out because i dont want to damage my hair any more. So after a week or so of everyday shampooing of head and shoulders will the extremely Black hair dye fade to light black?

Make black hair dye fade of removed?

No. I've done that and its there for good. There is not a lot you can do except get it stripped. you cannot dye over it and it does not wash out.

Make black hair dye fade of removed?

When I had dyed black hair, the dye came out in the shower ever time I shampooed, but it never seemed to be getting any lighter. It seemed to fade a TINY bit when I would use extra clarifying shampoo, but otherwise black is a jerk to try and get out without bleaching. Good luck!

Make black hair dye fade of removed?

Yep! Thats what I use, and the very next day I totally look like a Barbie doll. But by the end of the week I look all naturally raven haired and diva-ish so don't stress (and certainly don't bleach)

Make black hair dye fade of removed?

Try washing it with Pert, it will remove color, may take a week or more. Works for me.

Make black hair dye fade of removed?

It will fade eventually. you're probably gonna go a week before you see any improvement. you have to learn how your hair absorbs color. when I dye mine dark brown, it looks black for a week. Next time go a shade or two lighter than you think you will need.

Make black hair dye fade of removed?

I dyed my hair with that exact same hair color and brand. It was very dark and fake looking at first. After washing it daily, it did begin to look more natural and less shocking. However, it still remained very dark. Since your natural color is dark brown, it wouldn't be that bad trying to grow it out.. it would probably blend nicely.

Has anyone tried the new Loreal Color Match? What do you think?

I've seen the commercial, I 've look at the website but I am not sure. I have really long brown hair with a reddish tone to it. I had dyed it like that by mistake and is looking for a nice darker brown that looks natural. My hair is naturally a dark brown. I want the color back. I want it to like Kelly Monaco's...can anyone help me get that color??

Has anyone tried the new Loreal Color Match? What do you think?

Permanent hair dye lightens and deposits at the same time, even the darker colors do that, so dark brunettes will wind up with some red tones. If you don't want red tones try a demi permanent hair color in a dark brown,it will deposit color only. Go to a beauty supply and get the color there. Good luck

Has anyone tried the new Loreal Color Match? What do you think?

Your welcome. You can even use the demi color more often on all your hair to freshen the color up because it is allot less damaging then regular permanent hair color. Report It

Has anyone tried the new Loreal Color Match? What do you think?

t works pretty well but i think u should go to the salon and go dye it

Has anyone tried the new Loreal Color Match? What do you think?

I really liked it a lot when I used the 9W light golden blonde - however, I decided to go a little more "golden" with the 8W and now I have a dark ashe blonde that looks hideous with my skin tone! Never had this problem with Loreal before! Be careful!

I dyed my hair black last week, n the color's already fading!?

hey, 19 y/o male with thick naturally medium/light brown hair. i dyed it black to bring out my melanin in my skin. im mixed with east Indian, Italian, n white. i had my hair black from this loreal dye i got at cvs last week, and the dye was labeled as permanent dye. i carefully read the directions, n let the dye soak up in my roots for the amount of time required, 25mins. i followed the directions, n rinsed out the dye with cold water, like it said. i also applied the color lasting conditioner right after dying my hair, n followed the directions about applying the conditioner once a week. i used it maybe 3 times since i dyed it, and its been like 9 days since i dyed it...maybe 2x, not sure. i also been usin color treated shampoo wheneva i wash my hair. i askd my mom about it and she said the color always fades a lil afta dyin hair, but i can already see my natural roots startin to come in! i use a lil hair gel daily, is that possibly the cause? how do i keep da color intact?

I dyed my hair black last week, n the color's already fading!?

The color always almost fades a little when you color it.

The best you can do is use a shampoo %26amp; conditioner for colored hair.

Also, your roots are coming in cause your hair is growing. You just need to redye the roots black. :)

I dyed my hair black last week, n the color's already fading!?

Hair grows! As it grows out it looks like your color is leaving. Also you should go to a professional colorist at a salon. The dyes they use are much better and don't fade as fast!

Black and red do fade the quickest!

I dyed my hair black last week, n the color's already fading!?

hun black comes out so fast its not funny. whenever i go get my roots done,(my hair is blonde, black underneath and pink bangs)they always have to redo the black. i go everymonth!! but youll prolly just have to re-dye it frequently.

I dyed my hair black last week, n the color's already fading!?

make sure u buy a glaze to put over your colour!

I dyed my hair black last week, n the color's already fading!?

Hair color fades. Every time water hits your hair, yuor cuticle opens and lets anything in it escape regardless of the color. It sounds like your doing everything i do when i color and recomend to my clients, but if you are TRULY seeling roots, like u can see a little bit of your natural color peeking through at your roots, your hair just may grow fast babe and your actually seeing your roots.

I dyed my hair black last week, n the color's already fading!?

Use a root touch up -

Try Root Touch-Up Nice 'N Easy by Clairol

and use a color safe shampoo like

Color Vive Shampoo for Color-Treated Dry Hair

Vive Pro By L'Oreal

I dyed my hair black last week, n the color's already fading!?

you didn't hear this from me, but tanning salon, tanning salon, tan tan tan tan tanning salon, you can get cancer from the tanning salon, damn it looks good though

I dyed my hair black last week, n the color's already fading!?

i dyed my hair black and i just dont wash it as much so the color doesnt fade

I dyed my hair black last week, n the color's already fading!?

It is natural process. More during summer months. Dye fade away faster.

I dyed my hair black last week, n the color's already fading!?

Maybe it was just a cheap dye! Hair gel also does help it fade, it use to happen to me so I stopped using it. I dye my hair all the time- because I have hot pink and purple so it fades quite fast too. I avoid using hot water and too much shampoo. Use alot of conditioner to keep your hair healthy. Leave the dye in longer than 25 minutes to make sure your hair absorbs the dye, at most 1 hour. Use heat from blow dryer to intensify the color.Try Manic panic, special effects, or punky colour dyes. You can find them at Sally's beauty supply stores or online. Look on ebay. Well, they all last a pretty long time! Wear gloves it gets messy and very hard to get off of surfaces O.o You'll learn your own tricks over time as you continue dying your hair- goodluck!

I dyed my hair black last week, n the color's already fading!?

well i dye my hair black and im a natural blonde and it takes awhile for my roots to show and everytime i dye it i use Loreal blue black hair dye. i dont know why yours came out so quickly tho. did you wait two days to wash your hair? bc ur not supposed to wash it for two days. Hmm.maybe you should get another box and dye your hair the same way you did and wash it after dyeing it then DONT wash it for 48 hrs. the only time my hair ever did that was when i used garnier blue black and since then i used loreal try blue black it looks reallly cute, and no its not blue just a dark dark black =)

I dyed my hair black last week, n the color's already fading!?

mens hair usually have more natural oils than women which repel colour also on your natural colour you need a black that compliments you natural colour e.g. a red black for med brown/rust coloured hair or a blue black for blond hair, these will keep in your hair longer I am not a fan of loreal because they tend to fade quickly and are dull colours try clairol nice and easy if you want it to be permanent, they have a jet black.
