I asked this before, but I'll say it in more detail. I DONT do it when my hair is wet so that's not the problem and there is no visible damage to my hair. I have thin long hair so I use a low temperature. (I use Nicky Clarke hair straightners). When I used loreal protective cream the ripping sound seemed to stop, but the next day after washing my hair just goes really dry and static, so the cream idn't a good idea. What is happening to my hair and what should I do?
My hair sometimes makes a ripping sound when I use straighteners? I wouldn't worry too much, mine does and I use a straightener cream and there's not much damage (most of my damage is from dying my hair too much). One thing I would say is to make sure you use a good conditioner on your hair.
Hope this helps.
My hair sometimes makes a ripping sound when I use straighteners? buy new straightners GHD
My hair sometimes makes a ripping sound when I use straighteners? I'd have to say that you are breaking your hair. If you seem to have a lot of small fine hairs at the scalp and the middle of your hair that is probably what you are doing. the only thing I can give advice is to use a heat protecter before. Try a different brand than the one your used.
My hair sometimes makes a ripping sound when I use straighteners? do your straighteners have a comb attached to the side? because, if they do, this is probably ripping your hair.
if not, depending on how dry your hair is and what hair products you use, your hair could be sticking to the plates...
My hair sometimes makes a ripping sound when I use straighteners? I've got nicky clarke straightners too and im having the same prob but ive had them for a few years, think they just stop workin properley after a while to be honest, maybe time for a new pair?
My hair sometimes makes a ripping sound when I use straighteners? Ok, well the ripping sound is just the flat iron going through knots in your hair, its not a damaging problem. As for the constant flat ironing the hair is VERY unhealthy. If you have split ends you know why, the heat on your already thin hair is not healthy. I hope I solved your problem!
My hair sometimes makes a ripping sound when I use straighteners? use a straightning spray instead.
dont keep going over the same section
and just because you cant see the damage doesnt mean that it isnt damaged.
if you damaged the inside of your hair shaft then it will break and rip.
use a good conditioner on your hair.
you shouldnt use straightners everyday.
if you keep doing what you are doing your hair will rip and break off. you must be holding the straightners too long on your hair. you shouldnt keep going over the same section.
My hair sometimes makes a ripping sound when I use straighteners? your hair isnt getting enough conditioner and i sugest that you use Remington Wet 2 Straight it works really good theyre is different temperatures for diff types of hair like when your hair is wet you would be a 17 or 18 for wet hair only for just straightening it when its dry u would be a 5, 6 , or 7.
My hair sometimes makes a ripping sound when I use straighteners? Let me recommend the one I use... I have curly hair that for all my life has NEVER been able to be straightened, it always frizzed out on me. I was ready to give up on straighteners altogether, and then my sister sent me one that has changed my entire view on the whole thing.
I use the Remington T-Studio Collection Tourmaline-Ceramic Digital Flat Iron. Long name I know, but that's what it says.
It is so user friendly, will not make the ripping sound, and heats up incredibly fast. My hair always looked burnt, dry and static bound, never looked natural or healthy... but with this iron, it looks like the ladies in the commercials we're all jealous of, shaking their glossy locks saying you too could have hair like this if you use this shampoo... yeah right. : )
But sincerely, this one is a winner, and will stop what the other is doing to your hair. You just have hair that is sensitive to styling products including creams and straighteners. No different than me.
Other people can use the many different flat irons out there no problem, possibly due to more elastin in their hair, who knows, but those of us exist, for which one product does not fit all.
I hope this information helps you as much as it has helped me.
Have a great new year!
: )
My hair sometimes makes a ripping sound when I use straighteners? The ripping sound is made when pieces of your hair get caught on the side of the plate. I hear this sound when someone else(as in a hair stylist) flat irons my hair and the flat iron pulls or tugs my hair.
Be sure to get small enough pieces in your flat iron and hold the hair taut enough to keep it from getting caught in the edges of the plate. Or use a bigger iron. I also flat iron my hair with polishing drops--Aveda to be exact (I was told by a former Aveda stylist that the company said they aren't supposed to be used with heat, but I have beautiful hair and she used it just fine on my hair with the flat iron w/o a problem. Tons of body and sheen.)
My hair sometimes makes a ripping sound when I use straighteners? i have tons of thin hair so i no what u meen. try bying a chi straightener cuz they are the best. also make sure your hair is brushed out. or get the dead end trimmed off of your hair
My hair sometimes makes a ripping sound when I use straighteners? Use ghd straighteners they are really good, also try getting some heat protection spray. Maybe also ask your hairdresser they might be able to help you better!
My hair sometimes makes a ripping sound when I use straighteners? For over all hair health you need to use good products. Use shampoo and conditioner that is made for your hair. If you color your hair, use color care products and so on. Use a deep conditioner on your hair once a week and keep hair trimmed so you dont have split ends.
Wash and rinse your hair in the coldest water you can stand. This helps control damage and static.
If you brush through your hair when its wet dont use a brush use a thick toothed comb, it wont break your hair like a brush will.
Put something in your hair to smooth and tame frizz. For example, Garnier Fructis smoothing milk or sleek and shine. Next spray something on your hair to help with the heat damage your going to inflict. I use Biolage Thermal-Active Setting Spray. You use it before you dry your hair and also while your using a straight iron. It also has sunscreen in it.
And last. Make sure your iron is good quality and is clean of product. I think CHI is the best you can get but if you cant afford that at least get a iron that is ceramic. To clean built up product off your iron make sure its cool and use a cotton ball with a little alcohol on it and wipe it off. Another thing is to separate your hair out in about two inch strands when straightening it. This helps breakage too. Hope this helps!
My hair sometimes makes a ripping sound when I use straighteners? hmmmm you probably straighten it wet
My hair sometimes makes a ripping sound when I use straighteners? You could always try a heat protective spray maybe with the Nicky Clarke collection. If it makes your hair even thinner you could try a new type of straightners!! Or if u dnt wanna spend ur money you could borrow a friends starightners for a couple of days to see if the ripping noise stops then if does buy the same straightners! xxx
My hair sometimes makes a ripping sound when I use straighteners? Nicky clarke is a great make, what u should do is use nicky clrke heat protection spray which will proberly still make the noise but that noie will be ok as itrs protecting ur hair, after styraightening ur hair use serum to not dry it at, also to help ur hair recover just striaghten ur hair once of twice a week, i find if i straighten my hair once and jus every so often touch it up wi he straighteners my hair stays straight all the time until i wash my hair again, serum helps ur hair as it makes ur hair more live
My hair sometimes makes a ripping sound when I use straighteners? uh oh... that doesn't sound too good. I would buy some new straightners (the best ones I have ever used have all been ceramic coated, I did buy some that weren't once and my hair felt a lot dryer) or probably the best advice is go see a hair dresser and get some advice instead of wasting money on various creams and time with well us who possibly aren't qualified.
