i use aussie sun touched shine shampoo and conditioner and then after my hair is dry i rub this stuff called after party by bed head in it and it makes my hair shiny and really really soft

Try poring a bottle of cooking oil on top of your head before shampooing, It works wonders.

I love deep conditioners! Once a week, you should take any deep conditioner, preferably Biolage, and put it on your hair. Your hair will be considerable softer, shinier, and silkier!

2 things: Regular trims to keep tidy up those split ends (?) and regular conditioning.

Invest in a good quality shampoo and conditioner.. preferably from a salon/salon supplier. Joico that was mentioned above is a good one... Salon products are pricier but they will last you longer than the Pantene/big name branded stuff.

Look for products that don't have silicone (look for ingredients such as dimethicone or similar) that will coat your hair... imagine a layer of plastic over your hair and scalp! If you have really long hair, leave-on conditioner/detangler for the lenghts and ends can have some silicone, as it'll help protect the tips from splitting.

In addition to your normal wash/conditioning routine, get a hair mask/deep conditioner and a deep cleansing shampoo that you can use at intervalls. Use to remove any caked up styling products and minerals there may be in the water you use.

Oh, and learn how to do a conditioner only wash... it'll leave your hair feeling great... and it won't dry it the same as a shampoo wash. In the cold winter days CO wash will be more gentle on your hair.

herbal essences hello hydration or the orange one (i cant remember what it's called) sometimes herbal essences products weigh hair down a bit, so if you dont want your hair weighed down at all, use a dove product that is meant for your hair type. or if you're a big spender, use a matrix product, they work well.
