is it true that after you dye your hair and wash it the next day with shampoo and conditoner the color will lighten up a little bit????.....i dyed my hair golden blonde-warmer by loreal i wanted a dirty blonde but it came out a little darker than i thought it would...any ideas on what is the best color to get your hair a dirty blonde????...thanks for your answers

Yes it is true that it will lighten. I made a real mistake over a year ago and called the number on the box. The person told me that selsen blue shampoo will help it lighten even more that just regular shampoo. Becareful about coloring it again to soon. You do not want any breakage. Been There Done That bought the tee shirt.!!!!

If you use regular shampoo your hair will lighten... a little bit the first week, but not much. The best way to get the "dirty blonde" look is to use a medium or dark ash blonde hair color/dye.
