I'm going to be dying my hair, and I would like to know:
1. Will my hair look like the color on the box?
2. Will doing it at home be a total hair "disaster?"
3. Is Loreal Paris Couleur Experte a good brand?
I'm going to be using that above brand, number (5.0).
I have naturally dark brown hair. NO white hairs.
Will dying it first with step one then highlighting it give me bad results??
thanx!

1. Most likely, no. But it will be damn close. There is a color guide on the box, but if it's not permanent, and your hair is dark, it won't look anything like that.
2. No. I've dyed my hair several times at home and it always comes out great. Just be careful you don't get any on your skin, or pillows, because it takes forever to come out.
3. I don't like Loreal, and I don't use it often. I would say use Garnier, and get a seperate highlighting kit. I would also wait a FULL DAY before washing and highlighting your hair. Maybe try two days if your hair is weird (you'll know what I'm talking about if it is), otherwise, the color won't set properly and it'll fade a bit.
Be sure you follow all directions and wear those gloves. Saturate EVERYTHING, and if your hair is past your shoulders, you'll definitely need to boxes of dye (mines is only about two inches past my shoulders and I always run out. I never learn. :( )

1. With hair dyes... if you choose the correct color shade for your hair, if will not be EXACTLY the color of the box. It will probably be a shade or two draker. The washign of your hair after time will tone it down.
2. It won't be a disaster if you read the directions %26amp; follow them precisely.
3. That is an excellent brand to use. I use 7R.

1. no, it willl turn darker/ lighter depending on your haircolour
2.no, i dye my hair by myself all the time
3. Great brand, thats what i use
try doing both at the same time put highlights in foil, like they do at the stores. and then dye the rest.

1. no, the color never turns out the same. its mostly because ur color now comes in contact with the dye, so whatever color u want, get slightly darker dye.
2. no, my mom and sister dye their hair at home. my moms hair is perfectly fine and my sister's hair is shinny and soft. (i dye their hair at home and im not a hairstylist)
3. im not sure, i dont really pay attention to the brands :]
im not sure about the highlights, but i recommend dyeing it first, then wait a couple weeks and get highlights. also, you ca chat with ur hairstylist about all dis! hope i helpt!
