Okay, where to start? Lets begin with the shampoo. Using shampoos daily may not be such a good idea. Try every other day, and inbetween shampoos scrub your scalp with conditioner to clean it. Also, try a deep conditioning treatment once a week. I have curly hair, which is prone to dryness, and I colour it, so a deep treatment really does help. Just mix a blob of conditioner with a teaspoon of honey and a teaspoon of olive oil. Let it sit in your hair while you are in the shower then rinse thoroughly.

Also, try switching your shampoo to something without sulfates (the harsh detergent that's used to strip hair of oil). Most hair needs some of it's natural oil. Avalon Organic's have a few non sulfate shampoos. Just ask your drugstore's beautician for help and advise. Don't be shy, there are other guys who have hair problems too.

If you use styling products try and stay away from the drying alcohols. Hairpray's are the worst. My rec's are: Gel - Herbal Essences Set Me Up (the smell fades from your hair, don't worry :) ) or Dep Extreme Sport Gel (10). Mousse - Finesse Mousse's. Pomade - Got2b Playful.

If your having trouble finding a better shampoo, try a natural health food store. The Bulk Barn even carries natural shampoos and conditioners, which usually have better ingredients.

For a list of sulfates and silicones, please check out: www.naturallycurly.com. Everyone there is extremely friendly, so just ask about silicones and stuff. They're always ready to help out a straight haired person too.

have you tried the professional stuff yet?

maybe go to a hair stylist or something and ask them what to use...

OR you can go to the doctors for them to prescribe you to this shampoo and conditioner stuff that you cant get over the counter. my mom uses the stuff that she gets prescribed and it works really good.

The best thing I can tell you about thin hair is to take vitamins. I have the same problem and I've talked to numerous doctors and they all say to take a mulit vitamin daily. About having dry hair--how often do you wash your hair? People with dry hair can often go up to a week without washing and still be okay as long as you're not sweating too profusely or have obviously dirty hair. Actually is better not to wash your hair *every* day unless you have really oily hair. Talk to a doctor and stick with whatever it is they tell you--if you can't afford seeing a doctor try not washing your hair everyday, taking vitamins and finding a good conditioner and stick with it--try this for at least a few months because that's how long it may take your body to adjust and for YOU to see any changes. Good luck!

first of all take multivitamins once aday everyday religiously ,oil ur hair before a bath (u could use parachute hairfall therapy oil) I`ve used it it helps, alternately use a mixture of castor oil, olive oil, coconut oil semi heat the oil and use it.you could use loreal shampoo n conditioner ,u cud also use lakme shampoo n conditioner ,make sure u leave the conditioner on for atleast 5min ...sometime you can apply the conditioner n wrap ur hair in wet towel also use a protien serum u cud use lakme or livon that will definitely help make sure you stick to the routine ...cause everything shows results over a period of time .In case you have dandruff u could use curd in your hair leave it on for 15-20 min n then bath ........best of luck to healthier hair
